What do I expect him to do? I expect him to not be slow and be able to get by his man. Other than that, not really sure. Cant get much worse.

Of course there is a reason he doesn't play, question is, is there a good reason? I trust Frans judegment only slightly more than Kirk Ferentz.

I find it nearly impossible to believe that they gave a scholorship to a guy who is worse than Anythony Clemons. And if that is the case, he needs to be encoraged to leave.

The sub patterns won't change, in that the main 4 bench guys will continue to get minutes and Dickerson will continue to sit on the pine.

But subbing depends much on game flow, fouls, specific game situations, player frustrations, player fatigue, hot players, cold players, match ups, defensive schemes, etc. I have absolutely no problem with McCaffery's subbing and in-game coaching. None whatsoever. He also gets a lot of input from his assistant coaches, which is good.

Play Dickerson and sit Clemmons? Do you even watch the games?

That may be true, and if it is what a stupid strategy, the last thing this team needed was another tweener forward and a wasted pg scholly.

Fran also thought it best to play Zach McCabe at the center at crunch time for two years and continued to let Marble free lance at the end of every one posetion game, and lost every one. So Im skeptical of his judgment.

He gets very attatched to older players and doesn't seem real interested in addmitting mistakes but rather continuing to dig himself into deeper holes.

Obviously TD is not better than Gesell but honestly how could he not be better than Clemons who is no where near a big ten level player.
 
Here's what Dickerson has done: at the end of the first half of the purdue game, he played and Gesell sat sheepishly on the bench. Gesell was so good in second half that he almost won the gsme single-handedly on the offensive end. He played well to better-than-avg for a few games until reverting back to norm.

Short term memory: for him and Fran.

I watch all the big ten teams enough to realize Iowa has the worst guards in the conference.

To act like its in any way unreasonable to want to see what Dickerson can do as opposed to Anthony Clemons is laughable.

I cannot agree more. Fran recruited this kid because we need a PG so desperately. Yet, he doesn't play. what's up? I don't want to hear the talent issue. Baloney. This kid is 3 times quicker than any other guard we have. PLAY HIM. Let him sink or swim. clemmons is not the answer and either is gesell. How many games do we need to see to know that?

Obviously you don't watch the games. we have the worst guards in the Big Ten! Sorry, it's not that close. Dickerson may be no better than what we have, however Fran did offer him a scholarship to come here because he knows exactly the same thing. Our current guys are not very good. I can't fathom why he didn't play earlier in the year more. I don't care if he turns it over every time in practice. He offered him a scholarship in a HUGE NEED POSITION! He obviously saw something in him to recruit him in the first place. Something doesn't make sense here

Clemmons has 17 assists and 4 TOs over the last 5 games. Again...Do you even watch the games?

Dudes been almost completely ineffective offensively for the vast majority of three seasons and you're gonna come on here and run your mouth about 17 assists in five games 10 of which came against the two worst teams in the conference.

Dickerson was a fall back to the fall back. That said, Fran would not have taken him had he not thought that the kid had potential down the road..? Trey will be behind MF & AC for another year. Afrer that, he will have his moment. I hope he shines!

Clemmons has 20 assists and 4 turnovers over the last 6 games. I only keep this going because you look more incompetent with each response. I know. You're hoping for a bad game so you can say how right you were. You will just have to cross your fingers and keep waiting. Forgot to ask...Did you finally watch this game?

Actually, you have no argument whatsoever.

I'm glad he's playing much better than he EVER has before, but no matter what he does from here on out, it doesn't change what he has already done for the majority of the last three years which is basically nothing.

The dudes been totally incapable of beating anyone prior to the last few games.

once again glad he's playing good now but he's never played this well before so the criticism of his game were %100 percent acurate.
 
Let's just applaud the present, and hope the future holds more of the same. Clemmons had a good game and like Gessell, can be very effective when not counted on to be primary consistent scorers...enter Jok, Uthoff, and White, 2 of. which return next year.

Go Hawks, win on Wednesday.
