No, they wouldn't. If John Fox hadn't buckled to the will of the loudmouth Denver fans, the meathead would be spiraling into obscurity...just like his back-up, the once highly-glorified brady quinn.

I didn't say that if he weren't a Christian, he wouldn't be the icon that he is today. I said that if he wasn't Christian, people would know who he is.

People still remember who Brady Quinn is too.
 
For some reason Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf's praying during games did not go over as well in Denver.
If I recall correctly, it wasn't Rauf's actions during games, but rather his actions (or in-action) during the National Anthem. IMO, Rauf's contoversy was driven more by patriotism rather than religion. But again, JMO.

Regarding Tebow, I think it's funny that people get so upset about him or actually seem to hate him.
