Thursday night games

Rutgers, Denardo said, has an offense that is most similar to Iowa. They look pretty physical and solid out there. Fun to watch. 14-3 at WaSU
 
Gophers are no gimmie. Especially in Minneapolis. They're passing game has a lot of work to do but man oh man Berkley Edwards is a special kind of player. Why on Earth did Kirk pull his offer?! That one will hurt.
 
Well the Rutgers QB went on to play better. I enjoyed watching this game. I was wondering why they weren't running more (Iowa fan) but I guess they took what WSU gave them.

Congrats to Rutgers.
 
Rutgers has a solid team. Played good tonight. James is a excellent running back. Don't know if he is as good as Abdulah or Gordon, but he is definitely in the conversation with the best.

WSU's Haladay is a hell of a QB. Great receivers. Glad Iowa doesn't play them. Don't think it would end so well.
 
Fun nite of football. A & M vs USC was wild....Kenny Hill made Johny FB look average. Maybe it is the system?

Minny is physical, but like Iowa, big and slow on the d-line. They probably have a better back 7 than Iowa, but our passing attack should be better...that will be a typical slobber-knocker game in Minny for Iowa.

Temple flat out were faster than the speed team in Vandy. Outhustled them also....Vandy will be the dog of the SEC East...somebody has to do it.

Best game of the nite? Clearly, RU over WSU.
RU was impressive, despite giving up over 500 yrds in the air to Air Raid. They played good in the red zone a few times and that made the diff.
That rb, James, was like Marcus Coker with more speed. Their o-line was physical, and will fit in in the Big Ten. Nova is erratic, but so is Jake rudock , who also has thrown some inexplicable ints. at Iowa.

I think RU can beat PSU in two weeks. Frankly, I hope they do. PSU cannot go anywhere bowling again this year, so why not RU instead?
If RU can beat PSU, and they will win their other 3 non-conference games, they only have to win one more game...probably vs Wis, or Md, or IU....I can see it happening.....I will root for them as they are underdogs, and have a chip on their shoulder and we do not play them until 2016 anyway.
 
I was wondering, how would Iowa have looked out there on that field instead of Rutgers. They are so similar to Iowa...formations and scheme...but they moved the ball better IMO. Are they better than Iowa?

So after one game in the books, we've gone from saying Iowa has a good shot at the B1G West Division, to now Rutgers is better than Iowa. Guys, they have medication for your bi-polar disorder....might want to look into it....

Really, he didn't even carry the ball until the 4th quarter against an FCS defense that was worn out by that time. Let's see how he does against the big boys before anointing him a "special" player.

Iowa hasn't played a game yet, but you know Rutgers moves the ball better? ok.
