Following yesterday's win over Wisconsin Iowa still has a chance to get into the big dance. They play the Northwestern mildcats on Thursday at 11:00 in the 1st round of the Big 10 tournament. Iowa beat them 78-59 11 days ago. The next opponent would be o$u. Iowa played them even until the last few minutes.

Right now Iowa appears to be in the first 4 out. However Iowa does have a strong schedule, and a strong fan base. Iowa's RPI is #50, and a strong showing in the big 10 tournament could make the difference. The lowest rpi of the last 4 in is Virginia at #47 with a record of 18-10 and 7-8 in the acc. They play Wake Forest in the first round of the acc tournament on Thursday. That would be a bad loss for them. Iowa could jump them.

Ally Disterhoft now needs 38 points to break the scoring record. In the worst case scenario 1 big 10, and 1 nit game she would need to average 19. Get into a 3rd game that goes down to 12.6, and a 4th would drop that to 9.5. For her the team's success is most important and is the best route to breaking the record.

I would appreciate if you are going to post about women's basketball, you state that in the subject line, or at least the first line of the post. That way, I can start out reading the thread with the proper mind frame, instead of momentarily confused, which puts me in a bad mood the rest of thread. Whereas if I knew up front it was about WBB, I would be more receptive when I start reading it.

Yes, please!

Yesterday's win over Wisconsin should give it away to any relatively observant Hawkeye fan. Iowa men's basketball victory over the bad-gers is still in the future. You don't see me going onto the threads about the men's team asking that men's be added to the tittle, however if women's is to be added to threads then men's should be also. Both teams deserve equal treatment.

Yes by gawd using an internet forum as a crusade by making confusing topics will make a big difference in getting equal rights for women!!!!

Let's get back on topic please.

Isu clowns are now being projected as a 10 seed. They play Kansas State on Saturday in the 1st round of the big 8 tournament. The clowns lost to ksu on 2/11. A loss there could help move Iowa ahead of them as well.

Recap: want a clown loss, a Virginia loss, need to beat Northwestern, and beating o$u would seal the deal.
