Ok, that was pretty darn entertaining!

I can't believe the bounces off that turf, must have been like cement. That opening kickoff was crazy, also the throw back pass from Dwight to Sherman was awesome!

They were playing on cement. The old Astroturf had a base of blacktop, a one inch pad, & the turf. Basically, it was no different than playing on the street in front of your house.

That brings back memories. What a backfield. Shaw and Banks! Sherman was serviceable but he had the slowest drop of any QB I have seen in years. That alone probably cost us a couple of games that year.

I played at a D-II school in Omaha and we had an astroturf field. I liked it. Not sure why it got a bad rep. It wasn't like cement at all. Turf burn stunk, but man up.
