Throw it in the endzone on 4th down from the opponents 30 yd line

How about when we had a second and 2 and ran into the line for a 1 yard gain, then on third and one tried the play action deep ball, pass incomplete, then came back on 4th and threw incomplete again? Why in the **** do you not try the play action on 2nd down there when EVERYONE knew we were going to run and if you don't get it, you have two more downs to get the two yards? I think this coaching staff tries to make things as hard on themselves as possible...

IMO opinion if your set on going for it on 4th and 1 in that situation, I see no harm in going for the home run. Take your shot down field, there's no harm in that. The problem was the fact that we couldn't pick up the first down. I see no problem with going long on the 3rd and 1. I have the problem with not being able to pick up one yard on 4th down.

Fitz went for it twice from the 35 yesterday because he knows the net 15 from a punt just isn't worth it. Play to win. Show your guys that you trust them to make a play. Fitz also ran this play where he had a backup tackle line up wide right and he ran this little juke over to that side that sucked the whole defense toward that guy and then they threw a 30 yard pass down the seam to TE that was standing all by himself at the five yard line. It wasn't really a trick play, but it was a unique play that completely fooled the D, the type of play Ferentz has never implemented.

Really? Not watched a lot of Iowa football?

Haha, that is a good answer. Iowa and other teams seem to have these problems.

You know, if the head coach and one other offensive coach are on the field during the timeout with only the 11 guys who are supposed to go in then this doesnt happen. But I agree if you watch Iowa football there are some serious issues with offensive game management.
