In his defense, Iowa City was pretty boring this weekend without students or a single sporting event on campus.
I can't say he's wrong in that regard.

I think it's interesting that Kirby doesn't like IA because it's boring and Coe picks IA because of the coaching stability. Sounds to me like Coe has his priorities where they should be.

Coe sounds like a kid who wants to play football, kirby sounds like more of a immature kid who just wants to party.
I'm so glad Coe made this decision. I am biased towards the hawkeyes, but coming here really was the smartest decision. Especially after what has been happening to our running backs. The other two players look solid also, even though I haven't heard much about them. Great day to be a hawkeye!
Ironic you would say that. A H.S. coach in Coe's conference described Coe kind of like that. Something about how he likes being a football star but not crazy about actually playing.

Well, I don't think anyone comes to Iowa to be a star...look at what just happened to our most recent prima donna. all of our guys that have gone to the nfl have one thing in common, guts. moeaki, sanders, clark, angerer, etc etc etc. persistence & hard work.
if this kid wanted to be a star, he would have gone to one of the glamerous schools that offered him. his choice, to me, shows me clearly what he wants to do.

Coe was my dream pick and I am very, very happy that he signed with us. With Rudock and Coe coming to Iowa...the future looks bright. Been awhile since I thought that, but now I can become optimistic again!
