Three Biggest Keys for win against PSU

Well, Big Ten football is finally here what are the three must for Hawkeyes saturday night in IC.


1. Stop the PSU run game and force freshman QB into throwing the ball downfield, and getting pressure on QB and forcing bad throws first start on the road always difficult.


2. Special teams need to continue getting better, and lets hope we don't need a late field goal for the win not much confidence right now.


3. Iowa OL needs to establish run and give Ricky time in pocket.


If we accomplish these three should be an Iowa win.

Are we not counting the road game at Alabama? I think the kid already has road kitters out of his system after that one.

pretty sure you guys all just summed up the keys to winning EVERY game.

stopping the run game is key to any iowa victory

special teams are always important in many aspects. field goals/extra points, kick coverage, punt coverage, punt returns, field position battle

and obviously the o-line always needs to give your qb time to throw the ball.

this game isn't different from any other game in those aspects.

Yep, well said- and I'm convinced that if we show up and play our game, for a full game, every game... there's not a team in the nation that we can't match up with and beat.

Three keys to a hawkeye victory

1. Control tempo
in all of our wins we have controlled the time clock and ran the ball giving us opportunities downfield

2. Defense
I see our front four having a huge game and stopping penn states run game and freshman QB

3. Just play hard nosed hawkeye football
beet them at everything

this is our time to show the country that not only do we win but we bang heads everywhere we go
