Thread not about how bad this season sucks

Let's take a short break from the apocalypse happening in Iowa City.

Is anyone here making the trip to Penn State? Best friend now lives a couple hours away from State College so I'm gonna fly out next Thursday. Trip won't cost me much so I'm just going to go have fun for a long weekend, plenty of PTO to burn. I got the tickets for $85 a piece before the season started and it was $178 round trip flying SW out of Omaha. Even got non stops. I know the meaningfulness of the season is toast but oh well. I haven't been to PSU before so for less than $500 I can take a 4 day vacation and check that one off the list.

How bout the rest of you gentlemen and women? Anyone else going?

Would love to go. Looks like a good atmosphere to be a part of. But will watch it at home. This could be another 6-4 game. Remember that one?

I'm making the trip down, closest game to me this season and a night game at Beaver Stadium should at least be a good environment.

I remember watching that one at some bar in Chicago. It was a very emotional win for KF after his Dad had died earlier in the week. Ugly but understandable and happy to get the win.

That was back in 2004, when Iowa's offense (with Tate as QB) was a little more relevant and a lot more competent and tolerable, not to mention, the defense was simply outstanding.

Now (and for most of the past 6 - 7 years) it's just zig vs zag, lots of square pegs vs round holes and an achievement to stay in the top 100 of total offense ( errrrr .... make that top 115 ) and to bang out 20+ points against this gauntlet of a B14 schedule.
