Thoughts on the Michigan game....

Iowa has the more complete team and should win this game but...
1. We're going to need a second option at RB besides ARob. Time of possession will be bigger than ever for Iowa on Saturday.
2. We're going to need a kicker to step forward and be 'the man'.
3. If/when we get a second half lead we CANNOT go stagnant OR go into a shell on offense. Sitting on the ball and punting will only get you beat against this Michigan team.
4. Offensive line will need to play their most complete game to date. I suspect Michigan will throw the book at our front If the ol can put a hat on everyone, big plays will follow. If not, Stanzi will be running for his life(see Arizona game).

What did I miss?

I actually think our OL will be fine. Michigan's DL has problems If the list is missing something, it's our linebackers picking up Denard Robinson's flexibe and instant-to-instant decisions between pass and run. Our linebackers will be important to limiting Michigan's short passing attack, and to making tackles if/when he makes it to the outside on the run.

I am concerned if our front 4 doesn't contain DR. I am not sure we have the speed to catch up to him in the open field.

Ferentz won't use a second RB unless ARob goes into a total funk, fumbles, or is hurt. Look for ARob to get at least 20 carries.

I think Iowa may try to throw the ball early in the game to open up the running game. Look for quite a few 8 to 12 yard passes early on.

I think the biggest reason KF will stick with ARob is because he does not fumble. KF will not want to take a risk on a Freshman fumbling.
