Thoughts on the finals

I haven't had a chance to see any of the wrestling so far but it seems to be going well. For the people who have seen the guys wrestle, how do you think they are looking for finals? I am most worried for McD because he has so much on the line. He has beaten this guy 3 times already and to choke on the big stage would not be good. Not to get ahead of tomorrow night, but a win from him could result in a 4-time champ...thats major!
 
I think McDonough will win. I think Metcalf will win a very close match. Dennis, I keep counting the guy out, I don't think he'll win, but maybe this will be his time. I'm not going to count out Marion either, anything could happen at 141. He's going against the #1 seed, but a true freshman. Marion has the ability, it would be sweet. Borschel just made an outstanding comeback to get to the finals. This should be a good one. Lewnes hasn't given up an offensive point this year (only escapes). So expect this to be low scoring. Anyone's match, IMO.

I'm hoping we win 3 of the 5, but I could see us going 0-5 or 5-5, I really could.
 
I think the McD match plays right into his hands. I think he will win. Metcalf and Palmer, wow, this match is going to be a absolute barn burner! I hope metcalf comes out ****** off!! Dennis match will be really really tough. Borschel has his worked cut out for him!

McDonngle,Marion,Dennis,Metcalf all look ready and up for the matches Borschel looking ahead i think as he didn't get going tell down 6. palmer is pinning people so maybe he will not back out like all the okstate people are doing
 
Wow wasn't that borschel match something else? I woke my kids up i yelled so loud lol. that is just awesome hawkeye wrestling! Lets hope he comes out on fire tonight!

These are pretty much my thoughts as well. I'd also say we could easily have 0 Champs or all 5 Champs. My prediction is hoping for 3 but expecting just 2. I think Mc Donough wins for sure.
 
McDonough should win and probably fairly handily. Ness has Dennis' number, but Ness really struggled last night against Oliver, so maybe this is the right time for Dennis. Plus anything can happen in these finals. But I think Ness wins.

Marion is a wild card. He could get pinned or win by major decision. He is wrestling very well in this tournament and I don't think Kyle Dake has faced a wrestler with the athleticism of Marion. I'm going to go with Marion to get ahead early and hang on late for the W.

I like Metcalf over Palmer. He knows how to beat Palmer, he's only lost 1 time to him and now Palmer has the target, so let's see how he handles that. I think Metcalf wins 6-2 or similar score.

I really don't know with Borschel and Lewnes, both easily could have lost their bouts last night, but each escaped. So no clear momentum heading into the finals. I would probably say Lewnes because he's been impossible to score on, but I think this is a low scoring bout and will be decided in OT. So could go either way.
