Thoughts on Ferdowicz (sp) at TE.

After reading the comments on our latest commit, I started to think about Ferdowicz's athleticism. I always liked how we used Jeremy Alllen out of the FB spot. We haven't really used anyone like that since, although I think we would have used that one FB from FL in the same way if he had made it onto campus. Is there a chance that we might use Ferdowicz (and then this newer guy) in some manner out of the backfield on occasion, like we did with Allen? We haven't really done anything close to that since Allen, have we?

CJ seems like the prototypical TE recruit for Iowa. I see maybe a 2% chance he sees anything else than TE.

CJ could probably play dang near any spot on the team given his athleticism but IMO he will play the traditional TE role...and dominate it.

CJ needs to prove he can block first. Once he proves this, he will be great.

I think he plays this year because Iowa usually uses 3 sometimes 4 TEs a game.

I think he plays this year,as he is an explosive athlete that we lack at that position right now. Reisner is good,but not sure any of the rest are pass catching threats that we need. Herman will be solid also, but not a deep threat.
CJ is good enough to play immediately....and with top talent in the pipeline, we need to make room for them in following years.

I also think he plays this year. I think by the Big Ten season we will see him playing a significant role at TE. He may not start, but as I see it he will be contributing.

My thoughts are we don't hear much from him until later in the year, when the game has slowed down a bit, and he has a chance to adjust. In any case mark my words, "he will be a great one"

I think CJ winds up playing quite a bit, very early...at LE...for the first 2 games of the season...
