C'mon man, Burfict has had several suspensions and ejections and he is more than a headhunter as he wants to injure people on purpose.

If you remember the very first Super Bowl where Fred 'The Hammer' Williamson had that headhunter reputation but the Packers knocked him out of the game, maybe purposefully, before he could clothesline anyone going over the middle.

No more players policing the other players in the league anymore.

Definitely not defending him by any means, but rather wondering if stiffer penalties in the past would have any impact on how he currently plays the game, which is very doubtful. My concern is what happens with the appeal and whether the suspension will get reduced.

I'd love to see guys like him out of the league, but the fact is there is always going to be one organization that will take the gamble on a player like him. With a suspension of this length unprecedented, and focused solely on his past history of headhunting, I wonder what stance the NFLPA will take once appealed. Ironically those very same players that he's been targeting could be the ones helping him fight his battle.
