As I said, I don't have good "inside info". If I did, I wouldn't for the audience on a message board.

I just think we don't play the recruiting "hardball" that a few other schools out there play.

Such as opposing schools reminding every 4 & 5 star that we've got a HC on the hot seat and may not be around for their entire college career.

I think that the higher coaching salaries go, the more you will see around the clock recruiting. KF is on record saying that he wants his coaches to enjoy a life outside of football, when discussing the amount of time assistant coaches work. I don't think KF wants to put the kind of time and energy into recruiting that some coaches do. When was it that KF said he was going to put more emphasis on recruiting closer to Iowa? I can't find the link to that PC. The irony is that KF had a hand in driving the price of coaching up.
