you are correct, I was looking at BPI, not RPI on ESPN's website. So UNI is currently 72nd (RPI) and not 58th (BPI). So UNI getting in the low 50s to high 40s is probably best case scenario there...heres hoping for a high 40s since top 50 wins seem to mean so damn much

They play the bottom of the MVC, so i dont see a lot of movement for them, until they play and beat Creighton or Wichita St on a neutral court.
 
I think we would want SDSU to lose, but they have some good wins. I dont think BYU or Utah St have a shot for an At Large.

The Bad
UNC beats GT
 
Big win for UNI tonight, they have another big game on Saturday. They play a bracket buster game against Denver who is currently ranked #87 in the RPI.
 
Virginia is a team I have seen all over on the bubble or in the tournament, and I just don't get it. Their resume is very similar to ours, with more bad losses.
 
This one may change. I believe they currently have a winning conference record. We need to win the next couple to reach that point...probably a comparable team to us if we go 10-8 but our conference strength may make a difference in any head-to-head comparison.

I agree, but there is a little lag in some of these bubble teams. For instance Virginia has been on the bubble for 2-3 weeks and has lost the last 2. Conversely, Iowa hasnt been on the bubble and won the last 3. Iowa is moving up while UVA is moving down.

Most of those opponents were awful. CSU and UNLV ate both in, IMO

I also read that some of their early bad losses came when they had injuries, so that changes things.
