This week's polls

Exciting times. Iowa may be the team that has been the most consistent in the nation. Iowa is also winning all the games they should (not losing to non-25 ranked teams) and winning against rated teams on the road.

One huge stat that sticks out to me is that Iowa has beaten every conference team but one by double digits. That is a great conference season so far.

You don't think...nah, don't need the jinx.

Part of me doesn't want it because our very next game is a tough one and I don't want to lose first game as number 1. But most of me wants it because it might be now or never and if we get by Thursday, we might hold onto it for quite awhile.

Go big or go home and capture while you can. That's what I think. Both the football team and basketball team have gone where they don't get to go very often so seize (I before E, except after C = bullshitz!!) the moment.

I would love to see #1 iowa but I don't see them ahead of Maryland and Villanova. Nova just beat #11 providence.

Hopefully I'm wrong. Iowa has been destroying teams

I'm seeing a lot of people with Oklahoma still at #1. They just lost to the 7th place team in their conference by double digits. Are they really the best team in the nation?

Lunardi's Bracketology that just came out minutes ago, has Oklahoma still the #1 overall seed, "because someone has to be". He has Iowa #2 overall. Too early to be worked up about that, though.

Who should be ranked No. 1 this week?

I think Iowa ends up at #4 in the AP. Enough voters won't put 4-loss Iowa ahead of 2-loss Oklahoma, even though the OU loss wasn't a good one.

My guess:
1. Nova
2. Maryland
3. OU
4. Iowa
5/6. Xavier/UNC.
7. KU

Edit: MSU reenters the Top 10.

It's actually Oklahoma's 3rd loss, but I agree. I don't think they should be ranked #1, however, which is what some pollsters have them.

I don't know what the rankings will be but below is how I rank the top 10. But 1 through 5 and 6 through 10 could be rearranged in any order and it won't upset me. I have a feeling there will be a lot more variety in Final 4 picks when this year's brackets are completed.

Villanova
Iowa
Oklahoma
Virginia
Maryland
Michigan State
Louisville
West Virginia
Kansas
North Carolina

Coaches Poll is out, Iowa up 2 spots.

1) Villanova (11)
2) Maryland (11)
3)Oklahoma (3)
4) Xavier (0)
5) Iowa (3)
6) Kansas (2)
7) UVA
8) UNC (1)
9) MSU (1)
10) WVU
15) ISU
