This team is mentally weak

Everyone can talk about their shooting problems, and that's valid. But the problem that nobody is talking about is this team is mentally weak. They can't make plays when the game is on the line. That's not physical ability. That's all mental. Perfect example is simply free throws. They consistently miss too many free throws down the stretch, make bonehead plays. I hope that it's simply youth, but I'm not convinced that it is.

They have no identity either. Nobody is a consistent scorer.

Pretty bad coaching, too. I'd have called a dunk shot for the final shot of regulation and just won it there. Fran is worse than Ferentz in the clutch.

In college BB 75% of teams are young. Purdue is bad and starts 3 FR. 20 games into the season, can't use that as an excuse.

This team has pieces, but quite simply, they're not very good.
