This is by no means the best team we have had but, they sure are one of the most fun to watch! They give great effort every game. They have no quit. They are good in the clutch. They are young and getting better! I'm enjoying this season more than last year for sure.
 
This may not be our best team but it might be one of the more talented teams we've had in awhile.
 
Absolutely no panic, no dropped eyes, no deer-in-the-headlights look when down 5 with 2 minutes to go. Everybody on the floor stepped up and made a play to make it happen.

Love it!

They deserve a ton of credit for getting Iowa out of the depths Lick left them in but this is exactly the type of game they just couldn't win.

These young guys have a toughness we just haven't seen in awhile. To have a guy really struggle in the 2nd half, but then hit two huge shots in the final seconds to win the game, with the season on the line. Good stuff

If you were watching the ESPN broadcast at the start of the 2nd half, Linardi (sp?) said almost the same thing. If Iowa wins tonight, which they did, AND wins vs PSU on Sunday, it would be hard to keep a 10-8 B1G out of the Dance.

I hope he's right .. GO HAWKS!!!
 
One of my very favorite Hawkeye basketball teams ever.....

Just behind Mr. Davis's first season.....

Positively essential game. Must win to cement the Dance.....

Whether or not we win the first game in the Big Tounament.....

According to Jon's scenario we just might play Ohio State our first game. Should be able to win that one.....

With the potential to meet Wisconsin again in the quarterfinals on Friday night.

I admit, down by 9, I said it was over.....Glad I was wrong, no more doubting Thomas....the boys came through, no fear...you need that in this league.
 
Ok I for one will admit I was wrong. I said they would be lucky to win one of there remaining games with 6 to go. I said not good enough on defense and to young. I WAS WRONG! Keep it up Hawks and yes you found your defense and the young guys are playing like veterans. I was wrong.
