This team did not look like a D-1 team tonight

Fran has some of the schemes we want (not afraid to press, not afraid to use zone mixed with man) but he does not have the athletes for these schemes. And, if you can't shoot, you are dead in the water.

Not sure what happened to this team in the off-season, but they don't look like they belong in a top flight conference. Very inept and could shape up to be Iowa's worse season ever. Never thought I would say that after 3 years of Lick Ball.

It was one of the worst games I have seen in Matt's career. He really did not play very well. No one really did. Josh shot well, McCabe started out well.

Just couldn't make a shot to save their lives. And not that there were a lot of bad shots taken.

He's playing too many players. Get to a 7 or 8 man rotation and stick with it. Distributing minutes is not the answer.

After Basabe's performance last year, why isn't he playing 30 minutes per game? Is he really that out-of-shape?

Oglesby should be starting. He can handle the ball, he is quick, and he is not afraid to shoot (and he shoots well).

White is talented and needs more minutes.

By a process of elimination, you can surmise who should be benched. It is pretty obvious to me, and I am no coach.

I think Fran will make these moves soon, or some variation thereof. Stormin, do you think too many kids are getting too many minutes? I'm really interested in your opinion.....
