Fact is, history is against us. Teams with a low RPI, who don't beat anyone on the road don't get into the tournament. That's why nearly bracket site has us out.
We have a few things on our side, Good rankings when it comes to rating systems that use a more in depth formula, some quality wins and a terrible, terrible bubble. Until the way teams get placed in the tournament changes, you have to side with what all the predictors are saying, and that's Iowa isn't in.
My only hope is that the committee decides to buck a trend and we sneak in and that the bubble is terrible enough for a team with an RPI in the 70's to sneak in. 95% of me says "it's not happening" but when I watch the selection show, a small part of me is going to be hopeful. I won't be disappointed or ****** when it doesn't happen but I have a minuscule shred of hope.
Ok, fine, when Middle Tennessee State and LaSalle get in over us I will probably ***** about how our resume is better in some circles.
