This should help the NBA's image...

And let's not forget this is the guy whose high school coach had the following quote about him.

“I just don’t want the day to come where I pick up that paper and it says (Zach) shot someone, or that he was shot. Every day that goes by that I don’t see that, I feel good.”

So they found no drugs in the house and Randolph wasn't involved in the assault? I fail to see how this is news. Maybe they beat his rear end cuz he came to the house to sell dope.

Yes, the guys that Zach Randolph hangs out with are so against drugs, they beat up anyone who tries to sell them. They are just doing their civic duty.

Man, fighting over weed? Weak sauce.
And over the PRICE? Come, dudes are hanging out at a millionaire's house.

I think it's funny how much people rip on basketball/NBA players when the NFL has just as many problem children. Well, and the U has enough for both leagues.

NFL has just as many problems and has 4 times more players......you do the math. ;)

The NBA has a terrible and well deserved image. No piling on, the players continually do a good job about maintaining that image...

People that think the NBA has a worse image than the NFL aren't paying attention. Just in the last few years the NFL has had a star QB who's assaulted multiple women, another star QB who ran a dog fighting ring, an ex-star QB murdered my his mistress, a WR that killed someone with his car... the list goes on.

All professional sports have their issues, but in a league where the rosters are small, issues are blown up. The NFL does have issues, but I think the repeat offenders are on their way down.
Although Randolph may not have been directly involved, he has a history and anything linked to him is magnified. The NBA does have an image problem because Stern does little to police the off-court activity. When you think about the off-field issues with the NFL, the first question that comes to mind is what will Roger do?
The WR that killed someone should never been allowed to step on the field again, but then again a DE for the Rams did the same thing and he didn't even see a day in jail from what I recall. What McNair did was a moral issue, that has nothing to do with a crime. The QB that has assaulted women multiple times should have been in jail, but there was not enough to put him there, unfortunately...lets see how long his marriage lasts.
Again the difference between the NFL and the NBA is the failure to act by the NBA in policing off-court issues. Every league is going to have issues, but the question is what will that league do when something happens?
