This looks to be the winter or our discontent

We have a better chance at them than we did at Charlie Moore going through his handlers.

We'll never get them on campus like we did with Moore twice. Pretty stupid for Fran to go after Moore two separate times and get him on campus if we had no chance with him. Wish he would have been spending his time searching the JUCO ranks or going after other point guards

It doesn't matter how many time he visited, once the handlers were involved our chances dropped to 0%.

So why did we recruit him a second time if it was 0%?

To find out if the handlers were still in place.

Right or wrong Fran isn't going to get involved in those situations. I'm not even saying that the handlers are doing anything illegal, cause as far as I know they are not. Lots of gray area in these things, and Fran just avoids it. He wants to deal with the player and his family and not handlers.

They were working on setting up a visit the second time so Fran must have thought the odds were more than 0%. I wish he would play with the big boys though and get involved, that's how you win

Think about who "they" was that you are talking about. Fran never said they were working on a visit, Moore never said they were working on a visit.....The "they" you are talking about working on setting up a visit is Moore's AAU "program" aka "handlers"....it was never going to happen.

It was reported both parties were working on setting up a visit, not just his handlers saying it

Fran would have loved to get a visit......just not through the handlers.

Believe whatever you want, I have tried to explain this to you before. Charlie Moore was never going to come to Iowa. Any player who uses handlers, and won't eliminate them from the process won't be coming to Iowa under Fran. It is what it is, Fran gets to choose if he wants to deal in those waters, and he chooses not to.

We tried getting him to visit again, it's not like we didn't know his handlers would be involved the second time around too.

One of Iowa’s top targets in the 2016 Recruiting Class recently became available again. As luck would have it, Hawkeye scholarships opened up around the same time.

The two developments rekindled the relationship between Iowa and Chicago point guard Charlie Moore, according to his AAU program. The Mac Irvin Fire and other sources close to the situation told Hawkeye Nation Tuesday the two sides were working on a visit date with it possibly happening as soon as this weekend.

“He likes Iowa,” Mike Irvin of Mac Irvin Fire told Hawkeye Nation on Tuesday.

And the visit never happened, wanna guess why? All your information is from Charlie's AAU program......Not Fran......Not Charlie......get the picture yet?

Actually it looks like Rob had a lot of sources on this one

Cool, then ask Rob why the visit never happened. He is more PC than me, so you will probably get less out of him than what I have said, but knock yourself out, ask away. Ask Rob and how Fran deals with the basketball handlers, what he hears about that.

Nah we already got the PG we needed anyways ;)
