This kid would be great to have in the black and gold

Holy Crap. I don't buy HS player hype very often... but this is a whole other level. 7'1" shooting guard with ball skills, quick, athletic, moves...and he's a fricken hs sophomore. Good lord, if this kid works hard, stays healthy...Unreal.

With his frame he looks like he could put on another 20-30 pounds. Just wow.

Never seen anyone like him, he is on another level while a sophomore in high school.....

Calipari dreams of him.....

Roy Williams has pitched a pup tent in his back yard.....

I think thats the only issue. He could probably sit on the couch for 3 years and be the #1 pick in the draft.

Holy crap! I'm just going to assume Iowa has no chance of getting him so please go somewhere outside the B1G or play overseas for a year.

I wonder if he had a late growth spurt at all? I remember David Robinson went from like 6'6 as a HS SR to 7 footer or something crazy like that. Quick footwork can be attributed to growing up playing soccer. You just don't see young tall players with that offensive array as it's so easy to just rely on your size.

The joke is that this kid shouldn't be in college basketball at all. The NBA needs to ditch one and done or the NCAA needs to make freshmen ineligible until the NBA folds on that policy.

That being said, this kid wouldn't be able to break other guys down on the outside against better competition and I don't really see a developed post game. Would be best served to be in a big man training academy.

If I were him I would not step foot on any college campus or any other place where I may get hurt. I'm not even sure I'd finish out my sophomore year at high school. Basically I would live in a bubble until the NBA comes calling.

Kidding, of course... kind of.

Disagree. One and done has been a boon to both the college and NBA. Those who criticize this rule as being unfairly dictatorial; plenty of occupations require a certain amount of schooling prior to professional accreditation. It's the NBA's prerogative and I'm glad that they do it.
