I think Iowa just needs to get to 20 wins. Win out the regular season and win 2 in the tourney. I don't think this will happen, but it's definitely possible.
I fully agree, but the "experts" opinion is more based around big wins. ISU has a bad loss to Drake, but nothing else really sticks out besides that. Their biggest win is KU at home and outside of that, again, not much is there. The final 3 games on their schedule will be telling.
ISU could really help themselves by winning one of the last 3, for sure. If they lose the last 3, then they would certainly find themselves on the bubble and may be in trouble because the committee really looks at the last 10 games. I'd really like to see them win 2 games in the tourney to help build momentum going into the big tourney. They really control their own destiny right now.
Find me a reliable source that says ISU is a bubble team.
I admit, I don't read every article that comes out. But it still matters, just apparently not as much as it used to.
Btw, Jerry Palm isn't exactly reliable. I think that is the first time he's even had ISU in the tourney whereas most everyone else has had them in for quite some time.
Reliable enough for you to check to see if he has ISU in. Since you know it's the first time he's had them in.
Nope. I don't get all caught-up in what people say because it's basically just opinion. I read threads like the one on CF that talk about that stuff.
ISU does have a top 50 win, btw.

"They were replaced by Iowa State and Washington. Both teams are lacking in quality wins. They each have only three RPI top 100 wins. It's been nine years since the last time the committee took such a team, but of course, the season isn't over yet. They have never taken a team with just three top 100 wins and none in the top 50, but that's Washington at the moment. The field is bigger now. They have to take somebody." ---Palm
He also projects how the team will end the year not just where they are now.

Why exactly would I care about anyone else? We're talking about ISU and I stated that ISU does indeed have a win over a top 50 team. You're just hating to hate. Per the usual, I suppose.
