The game was simply the best game Iowa has ever played considering the opponent. We were all expecting to lose at best and get smoked at worst, yet this team crushed the #6 team in the country. This wasn't beating a top 10 team on a last second FG, this was a beat down. I was born in 1984 so really anything before 1990 is going to be out of my memory bank if you want a little perspective. I called my dad and I asked if this was the best game Iowa had ever played in his lifetime and the only thing he could think of was when they played Texas in a bowl game in the 80's, but he pretty much agreed. I'm not saying this is the type of win that will help Iowa get to the next level or say that this is a moment that we must take advantage of or else everything in the future is going to fall apart. I hope those thing happen of course, but this is a moment to enjoy and remember.

It was the most dominating beat down by iowa i can remember. Crazy to think that Iowa shutout Ohio State in the second half (I refuse to count the BS fake punt fiasco).

They need to make it count. If they can go into madison and take them down too it really changes the season around. Trying not to get too ahead of myself before that game.

The 55-0 beatdown of Minny in 2008 was close but for beating one of the most storied programs in the history of college football like this is definitely number 1. This was a curb-stomping and to do against tOSU who's given Iowa fits for generations was a game for the ages. My hope is that this is a sign that this team has jelled and even better things are to come.

The only game close to this was when nick bell and iowa beatdown of the #5 Illini in champaign. Iowa scored TDS on first 7 possessions?

But this is still better!!
