They shouldn't take Joe Pa's statue down.....

You know I'm not really sure what they will do with regards to Paterno's statue. Let that thought sink in awhile.

Will the place where the derelict students camp out before home games still be referred to as "paternoville"?
Is a place with that name really where you'd want to locate yourself? Especially if you're a young man?

I heard they were thinking of changing the name of it to pedoenablerville. Just kidding, they haven't figured it out yet.

They should keep it up as a reminder that even great men can fall if they fail to act when they must.

Darren Rovell just tweeted that Nike is taking Joe Paterno's name off the childcare center located on the Nike campus.

To quote Paul Newman at the end of "The Towering Inferno" in reference to the burnt building:

"Maybe they just ought to leave it the way it is. Kind of a shrine to all the bull$h!t in the world."

They should just cover it up.

All seriousness, They need to remove that thing as soon as possible.

No way they should take it down. Is what they need to do is surround it with some tasteful sculpture that allows for awareness, healing and the end of the abuse of children... any sort of abuse including sexual abuse.

Along with the Bronze statutes and the plaques will also allow Penn State to be on the forefront of education and awareness and eradication of child abuse.

No way taking down the statute works... add the rest of the story and for the next 400 plus wins as they pass Joe Pa they do something to STOP child abuse.

I think it was a drunk student slurring "sterno-ville", but some witty media type thought, "Hey?! Paterno-ville!"
