THERE IS THIS

Brian Ferentz is the offensive line coach. They won the award for best o-line in the country! He also is the running game co-ordinator. Iowa had two one thousand yard backs for the first time ever! He gets props for this, correct?

He probably should, but no, he won't. His last name is Ferentz, and pass blocking we be deemed horrible (even though teams know exactly when we will throw and there will be no quick routes or pre-reads).

Greg Davis's passing schemes are like a reoccurring coverage sack.

When all you do is run the ball it is much less impressive

Actually, when defenses Know that all you do is run the ball and throw 5 yard passes, you can have 9+ in the box, that should make it tougher to run, not easier.

With even a slightly above average passing game, our run game would be even better, maybe by a lot.

Stop it. Do you really think Brian had say on what plays get called. You think Greg is sitting up on the press box thinking, "Maybe we should Run, what do you think Brian?"

Greg calls all the plays.

It's almost a bad thing that our OL won this award.

Barta: "Kirk, why should BF be our next head coach?"

KF: "Well he's a proven coach our O Line has been super successful under him winning tons of awards"

Barta: "Sounds good, how does 15 years for 50 million sound?"

The disgust should be targeted at GD and maybe to a lesser degree Kirk. I just don't think Brian deserves it just because his last name is Ferentz. It's pretty hard to find anything he did poorly.

I'd venture to say having two 1000 yard backs in one season was a matter of necessity rather than of design.

Oh there's no doubt. The Ferentz boyz have inherited their father's knack for living a charmed life. KF either made a deal with Jesus . . . or Lucifer . . . either way, he negotiated that deal the same way Neil Cornrich (corn - rich - Iowa - get it?) negotiates with Barta.

Okay so give him the head coaching job, because good old dad is running the program into the crapper
