We didn't need him anyway and frankly I didn't want him. Hope he enjoys going 7-5 every year at Penn State.

Would have loved to get him, but the bottom line is there's a fair chance we'll develop a 3 star TE that will get drafted before him. I'm sure he'll be a good player for PSU, but as a TE, he made a mistake by passing on the Hawkeyes. Kids! ... Whatcha gonna do?

Didn't need him anyway? Come on, he is better than anyone we have currently. He would have been a huge pick up, but since we didn't get him then we didn't need him anyway? This trash bin for an offense needs all the help they can get. Look at the production from the tight ends this year. Pretty much non existent.

How in the world would you think that this kid is better than anyone we have now? He would have been a good recruit, but he hardly moves the needle for the tight end position for us. He chose another school, big deal. As far as the lack of production at the tight end position goes, I highly doubt if we had gotten this kid last year that he would have made a dent. It takes time to develop tight ends and we unfortunately got exposed after the two left early. But the cupboard is hardly bare, and quite honestly, I venture to guess that one of the biggest reasons why Johnso did not come here is because of the talent that is already here.
