The way to early 2014 NBA mock draft.

I was looking at Walter Football websites NFL mock draft and decided to look at their NBA mock draft for next year. They're showing Devyn Roy Marble being drafted by Denver in the 2nd round, 49th pick overall. I think this year he either performs real well and jumps up the boards or if he doesn't improve it may drop him off the board completely. I guess I'm not saying anything that everybody already knows. I just thought it might be of interest to some. They also have the Kane kid that just transferred to Iowa State going 2 or 3 spots higher than Marble. I really don't know much about him but he was being hyped pretty good over at CyFan. About all I know for sure is that he's supposed to be a pretty good scorer.

I could see someone taking a 2nd round flier out on Marble. But the only shot he has got to ever making a NBA roster is as a point guard.

I actually think Marble is poised to have a great senior year. He was dinged up for a lot of the year but played his best ball late in the year in the NIT when he was finally healthy.

With that said I don't think he will make it in the NBA. He's not quick enough to play PG in the NBA. He would struggle on defense and his offensive game isn't good enough off the ball to play SG.

Marble could never play point in the NBA, best shot is to work on his stroke and D has a decent shot of being able to make the team as a 2 guard.

But he does not hit the outside shot to play a 2 guard. If he is not fast enough to play point then I don't see Marble playing in the NBA much.

Marble's shot has come a long ways since he's been at Iowa no reason to think it won't keep improving. Some team could take a shot on him late in the second round, have him play in Europe for a few years and hope he develops into a rotation player.
