Except January 1st is a Federal Holiday, January 2nd is not.

what kind of holiday is it then? no banks, no schools, no markets, no mail, no trash pickup, no customer service centers, no lumber store (here anyway). etc. Bummer for you, and anyone else not getting time and half or double time like some. But then, its not like the Hawks were playing.
