The Real Official Iowa v UN-O Game Thread

This is where the winners play *******!

Go Hawks!

I'm anticipating a second half performance similar to the first half against UNC-W. Lock-down D, lots of assists, better interior passing, and fewer turns. Fran tends to make pretty good halftime adjustments-I'd be shocked to see anything less than a 15+ point win.

I'm guessing Fran's face in the lockerroom looks something like this:

don't force things, keep your head, don't panic, don't be a huge *******, get the **** out of my lockerroom *******!

these are all things that are being said right now.

Couple first half stats here

UNO
44% FG, 35.7% 3P, and 100% from the line.

Iowa
34.5% FG, 12.5% 3P (extremely laughable) and a consistent 83% from the charity stripe.

You just can't expect to win letting teams of this caliber do this to you. Let's hope Fran or one of the players can spark the players in the second half

This is the type of D that IA is going to see all year until they can start hitting outside...clog the middle, plant your toes on the 3 pt. line and then give ground back to about 18 ft. As long as the other team is hitting and has time to set up this is what we're gonna get.

I was hoping Iowa was past the these bad non conference showings. Gardner Webb last year. Campbell the year before.

Iowa is desperate need of a difference maker on this team. The lack of one is what is separating Iowa from the rest of the Big Ten and allows teams like UNO to compete with them. If Iowa can't get fast break points, free throws, or put backs they really struggle to score. A play maker in the half court is desperately needed.

Did you copy and paste this from the other thread, just so you could be heard?
