The Play that ARob got hurt on

Why was there not a flag for pass inteference? I was at the game and they didn't show a replay but it appeared live that the defender hit ARob pretty obviously before the ball arrived and it was past the line of scrimmage.

Was it a good play by the defender or did the refs miss it?

It looked like a sure thing pass interference to me. The announcers even said they thought it should have been called live, before they saw the replay. Robinson was clearly hit before the ball arrived and he was a couple yards beyond the line of scrimmage.

Was wondering when someone would bring it up...

It was a dirty play! 7 went for Arob's head with his helmet and it was a blown call. Saw several replays on TV.
In the NFL, it would have been a fine and suspension.
Hope the Big10 takes a good look at it

yes, a penalty, but it wouldn't have mattered. Our offense didn't do diddly the entire second half, we only scored because they turned it over on their own 25.

It certainly looked like an obvious call. I wonder why Ferentz wasn't in the ref's ear on it?

Yup.

This play happens on a Sunday- the defensive player is getting fined $40,000.

Don't tell me 7 was just trying to get a hit on the intended receiver. He clearly launched and went to the back of A-rob's head. Sure, Tressel, you d-bag, have your thugs take out Iowa's best rb/receiver on the critical final drive.
