Sorry OP but this is every fanbase online anywhere. Nice try though.

BURN! I've seen worse. Seriously, there is so much derp being spewed on this board it's the only pathetic thing involving Iowa basketball.
People are going to react when their team blows an enormous opportunity like the Hawks did last night. I didn't log in and post for that reason. I was very upset, and this seems to be a pattern with this group of players and coaching staff. If you don't want to see people blow up after we **** away a 20 point lead and fumble our way out of a win in the closing minute, then I would suggest not logging on.
Fans get upset when you have a coach who hasn't won an NCAA game in his five plus years here

Well, if that's the only thing, then I'll take that as a compliment. Calling a fan base "pathetic" in the throes of a tough loss is not saying much, compared to, by way of a singular example, a fan base booing an opposing player who has gotten injured. Is it's fan base and their sports takes.
You missed my point. You are calling Iowa fans stupid, but people are going to react negatively when you have a huge meltdown against your in state rival who is ranked in the top 5. Especially when it seems to be a trend under this coaching staff. All fan bases will do this, and some of it is over the top but some of it isn't. Do you expect everyone after watching that garbage to log on and say, "hey great try guy, we almost got that one". No we blew it. You can't argue the fact that we threw the game away. People are going to be mad about it. If you think they shouldn't be, then maybe it is you who is stupid. I generally respect you as a poster, but I think you are way off on this one.we've had a grammar take and a "just don't read the board if you don't like it" take in the same thread.. slow golf clap.
InGoodCo we get it. Fans are upset about last night and it may be a bit harsh. That said, let's not try blowing sunshine up everyones *** by going to the opposite end of the spectrum. We have a decent team, not great, but decent. The fact remains though last night's collapse was monumental as we had the game within our grasp (albeit a 20 pt. grasp at one point) and let it slip. That's simply unacceptable.
Fact is fans are going to vent and spew, because of the way it crumbled. To come after those fans and blast the fanbase calling them pathetic is ridiculous. I'd find it more pathetic to be honest if no one was upset about blowing a 20 pt. lead in the second half to an instate rival and were pumping their chests about hanging with the #4 team in the nation.
