I don’t understand this new fair catch on the 5 teams are now doing. Any run back should bring it to the 20, plus a potential for a big play. Who started this?

Hasn't worked for Iowa in 10 years. Unfortunately, it's as fancy as Iowa gets - 2nd only to the tunnel screen.

It has something to do with what they see developing in the blocking in front of them. I’m not sure what exactly they are coached to look for.
