The most unrecognized win of the year

The coverage was all about Nebraska, before, during and after the game. It was about nebraska, nebraska's injuries, Bo, Bo's temper, Bo's remarks, Bo's future.

Did they do a segment on the game on the BTN Final Drive? I missed it if they did.

Nobody seems to realize that we kicked their buts on the scoreboard and on the field. Whoever we play in a bowl will, no doubt, have low regard for this team....we'll sneak up on them a club 'em like they were little white seals
Blame the PR department. It's not the national media's fault that Iowa's SID didn't put out a very impromptu, unplanned speech from coach Ferentz in the locker room after the game. How the hell are they supposed to know it's a big deal unless we freakin tell em? Take your complaints to the garbage machine pal because we don't need em here.

Ok, you want to get pedantic, I'll get pedantic.

The title of the podcast is Hawkeye Nation. The title of this episode is Iowa, B1G Things, & More. The description says "Miller & Deace talk about Iowa-Nebraska, Bo Pelini's future, Iowa's most likely bowl destinations and so much more".

I would think they'd start the show analyzing the Hawkeyes *** whipping of the Huskers. Instead, they talk Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska Nebraska.

Jesus, can you find anything more irrelevant to ***** about?

No and ESPNs Jessie Palmer even seemed dismissive that Debbie should be losing to the likes of Iowa and Northwestern. But hey that's ok, we play better with a chip on our shoulder anyway.

Ill take anything Jessie Palmer says against us as a compliment. The most uninformed "analyst" on tv and somebody who is very poor at their chosen career.

The most irritating thing about Palmer is that his constant chatter drowns out David Pollack. Pollack actually has meaningful things to say.

The Black Friday slot is great for Iowa-Nebby, but I agree that the results can tend to get a bit lost in the wash with Saturdays big games looming. But, Iowa did get some love from the BTN on Football Report on Friday nite, and Dinardo did address Iowa's season in the Final Drive...saying that Phil Parker, Greg Davis and Jake Rudock all put strong seasons together to bring iowa back to relevance.

Now, as far as replays on the BTN? Iowa gets the usual red-headed step-child treatment. Finally, on Wednesday they will show the replay of Iowa-Nebby a couple of times on 60Football....which I like for viewing anyway. Better than nutting.

Are there any other 3 person crews announcing games? I rarely watch the Thursday night games and when I do it's hard and I think part of it is I don't like having 3 annoucers.

The only one I can think of is in the NFL with Siragusa on the sideline but that seems to work much better and I'm not sure if it's the chemistry or if it's because the 3rd isn't in the booth.

Palmer is typically in the studio for halftime reports and stuff like that.

I hardly ever comment about the commentators as they add very little to the game for me. However, beginning this past Thursday night with basketball and through Saturday's BB game which includes the football and BB games Friday, it was 3 days of crap announcing for me.

During the football game they spent a large majority of the game focused on Nebraska. At least that's how I felt listening to them. As for basketball, Gannon and VanGundy are beyond horrible. Can you say East Coast Bias? Maybe I sound petty, but that's how those 2 buffoons sounded to me.

In other words the announcers for the football game and 3 BB games almost took away from the fact Iowa was a pretty successful 3-1 during the three days.

Jesus, can you find anything more irrelevant to ***** about?

Your journalistic chops? :)

How is it irrelevant that the founder of this site spends the first 20 minutes of his podcast obsessing about Nebraska and not talking about Iowa?

Was Iowa even mentioned at halftime? I've never seen only the losing coach interviewed at half

I guess ABC figured more people would rather see Nebraska lose than Iowa win. Just business.

The studio halftime coverage spent 30 seconds talking about the game and only discussed Nebraska.

Nebraska's appeal to the average fan > than Iowa's appeal. You might not like ESPN but they are only broadcasting what a larger number of the population want to know about. The Jets/Giants are terrible but they still get a lot of play on Sportscenter. They are in the business to make money, not be fair to the Iowa fans of the nation.

I cannot tune into ESPN for the next month because I do not want to hear about how great Auburn is and how they belong in the NCG.....You have a choice whether to tune in or not. It isn't that complicated.

I understand the interest in Nebraska is greater. But its a tiny bit odd when the team leading 14-3 isn't even mentioned.

I don't watch ESPN talking head shows for the very reason you mention.
