The Last two games illustrate the fraud of the talent excuse

I've heard many people make excuses when our team underperforms that its talent... I've even heard Captain Kirk himself say it. It's not losing to OSU or Michigan that angers us all - its when we can't beat inferior level teams or barely beat them.

That excuse really gets old.

They do have talent but it seems like it's not common all over the team. Still they should be whipping a team like Rutgers.

A win is a win and they are 3-1. Lots of work to do however.

Iowa doesn't have the talent - have had it maybe a couple of times in KFs era.
Agree.
This team can't block. Can't tackle. Can't cover. Can't get open.
For 4 years we have read about recruits whose other offers were from Western Michigan, Toledo and Western Kentucky. And that is no what we have - sub-power 5 level talent, at almost every position.

Our WR talent isn't there and that's killing our offense. Our recruiting is trending in the the verify direction though but not necessarily at that position

They don't have more talent then Rutgers or NDSU?

I bet you the hawks have had x20 more players drafted into the NFL....

You are missing my point - they have enough talent to beat a lot of teams they lose to...

From 2007-2014 Iowa had 29 players drafted into the nfl... 11th in all of college football.

There is no excuse to lose to central Michigan, NDSU, Western Michigan ect ect.

We recruit at an FCS level. We have arguably the worst group of receivers in college football. There is no talent there, this team is just going through the motions, no fire, no nothing. Fundamentals are terrible. Combine all this, along with a coaching staff that continues to get out coached, and you get what we see on the field.
