The Last PSU Quarterback to Actually Win a Game

The last Penn State quarterback to record an official Nittany Lions win? Mike McQueary on Nov. 22, 1997.

Some irony here.

Sorry hadn't seen it. But I agree completely, the vacating of wins is stupid, although in this case it does hold some merit as Paterno is not the all-time winningest coach anymore.
The other thing I saw mentioned is that the 2010 OSU v PSU is a game that nobody won.

Normally I agree, I hate it when the NCAA punishes by making teams vacate wins. But in this case I do not blame them for wanting to wipe Joe Paterno out of the record book.

+1. I like it in this case, for the reason already stated. Otherwise, it's not much of a punishment IMO, and it sure does nothing to impact the program one way or the other going forward that I can tell.

It's like Minnesota being stripped of their 1997 Big Ten Hoops title.. You don't see Hawk fans crowing about winning the conference that year, just because we finished 2nd. Any Iowa fan will still tell you that '79 was the last time we won the conference.

Or the Fab 5 for instance.. Nobody ever talks about how all their wins were vacated. You only hear about how great they were.

No one really cares about the wins and losses because the fact is most of us can remember what actually happened vs. what the record books will say. That said with Paterno's legacy, wiping his name from the books, tarnishes a lifetime achievement and is a justifiable punishment IMO based on the crime he allowed.
