I can just hear it now. A bunch of softball questions when someone should say. How is it possible you passed on third and short three times in the second half and didn't convert any of them. Did you know your offensive line was controlling the line of scrimmage? Why the hell would you do that? Why?...don't you think that's freaking stupid when to wear a team down you need to run it...and you were, but you stopped on third down. Why would you do that?
And Chuck Long is borderline moronic sometimes. He loved the long bomb to Powell on third and one. Great Chuck, the go for the percentage throw when you need to get first downs to wear them down and give your defense rest. I get it if it was completed...greg davis looks like a genius. I still don't think so...you needed the sure thing at that point. Now, I would have gone for it on fourth if I was going to take that shot. I was shocked when they didn't.
These players deserved better today. The good news is that I think we win the next four if we don't see a repeat of that play calling.
