The HN needs a frontal lobotomy.

There was another time, when Iowa was 3-3 in 2008, when things were real, real chippy...this was on the heels of the ICPC article from the alleged victim's mom in the Everson-Satterfield case.

When Iowa loses, some lose their minds.

Jon - if you had asked me after that game if KF was going to be the coach in 2009, I would've said, "no ******* way." I thought it was over for sure.

That's why I've said Shonn Greene saved Kirk's career.

wasn't that right after the MSU loss? or was it NWern....i remember that though.

those were especially dark days. the terrible offseason, two really rough years of football, it really did look like the end. and then shonn showed up and kirk was apparently "convinced" by KOK that stanzi should be the man, and the rest was history.

Greene certainly helped, but that was one of the best statistical defenses in Iowa history.

However, that team had a QB issue for a long time...and if you have QB issues in this offense, you're toast. Heck, even when you DONT have QB issues, you aren't great as the stats have shown

Here's to many more..........

Man - I get that in Kirk's mind, that the best offense for a team is to not turn the ball over, but I do not understand how Ken O'Keefe still has any kind of job.

It's to the point where it's not Ken's fault IMO.

He's either doing what Ferentz's bidding is and takes the heat for it, or he is not a good game caller and is still doing Ferentz's bidding re: formations etc and takes the heat for it,

Either way there is enough evidence, more than enough, to show that Kirk is OK with what is taking place on offense by the very fact that there has not been any changes there.

Yeah dude - I get it. I really do. But there are real bonehead moments in the playcalling within the scheme. Those are on Ken. But, it's obvious that he is bulletproof, and when that is the case, it isn't his fault. You're right.

Compass needs recalibrated IMHO......

which is why it will be really, really interesting to see what happens with the new DC. if it ends up being same old, same old, we'll finally know its really just what kirk wants. the problem is we've had the same OC and DC for 13 years now, so we have nothing to go off of besides the idea that they're just doing what kirk wants.

Doesn't have to be an EPIC freaking shakedown either........ As far as some direction altering....

Of course. only morans blame KOK for every problem that is Iowa.
