The Great Debate!

Shawn posted a 62.25 overall score in 2008. Gabby scored a 62.232 in 2012. Shawn was better, but just barely.
 
For as short of a time that Gabby has been on the senior circuit, she will end up being the better one.
 
i have no clue...just know that both were/are great.

i did hear an announcer compare them saying that shawn was more consistent and gabby has more top end talent.
 
Gabby, no doubt about it. Shawn trains well, but I think she is all about endorsments and popularity, and gabby is a better competitor.

After watching it last night, although Gabby did win the gold, I thought the Russian who got second was actually jobbed pretty good. I thought, overall, she did better than Gabby.
 
Does this mean West Des Moines is going to become THE pipeline for women's gymnastics?

I think this is right. With a little more consistency, Gabby could absolutely dominate the sport.

That is until the next young phenom comes along.
