Here is a stat for you . One BCS bowl win in 20 seasons . Soon to be 21 seasons . This is also during a time when it’s easier to get those wins then during the Hayden era

Bears have been awful for years. Because of their poor management, so that narrative is bad.

Iowa State is historically weak. This season is a blip. Only to get their coach hired by a P5 club. Northsides narrative may be redundant, but it is consistent and reality.

That is wrong. 40 years ago we were mired in a 20 year below 500 losing streak. Then we hired one of the best, if not the best coach we could have ever hired. That man, Hayden Fry, changed the entire culture of the University. He changed the football program into a winner. I will not go in to details, as they have been posted before. But that man did something that KF could have never done and KF has only profited from.

I wasn't talking about the previous 20 years. I lived some of the previous 20 years.

But I will never argue that Hayden changed the culture of the University. It's stupid to do otherwise. I'm just saying how strikingly consistent both coaches were over equal tenures that have added up to forty years.

If they dedicated the playing field at Kinnick Stadium, there is absolutely no doubt it should be Hayden Fry Field. Let Kirk and Mary have the twelfth floor of the children's hospital. It's Kirk's smugness and arrogance that rankle people to the point where they almost take it personally, and the more he wins the more rankled they are, and the more that they think he wins to satisfy his own ego first and foremost. That's why they can't enjoy the wins.

Good luck convincing Barta about the playing surface, however. To him, Hayden Fry is probably the name of some fourth rate honky tonk band playing in Kentucky somewhere.

Statistics such as YPG are meaningless if your not finding the endzone. Stanley is one of the best QB's in the country between the 30's, but a hot mess inside the 30. He just seems to panic and second guess every decision, and it's getting worse. I think his problems are mental now. He does so many things well I hope he figures things out, but time is running out.

5 Big Ten teams have more than one in that time span. Ohio st has 10 wins in that time span. Wisconsin -3, Penn st-2, Michigan -2, Michigan st-2. BCS/ New Years six bowl wins

He did just fine the last couple years, I think it's an issue with personnel, not with Stanley.
