Not sure there is another team that can say they owe their postseason appearance to one guy like Iowa does to Gatens. The team was its usual yo-yo self in the games where Gatens blew up and without him doing it himself (offense, defense, rebounding, FT's) we have a losing record, aren't playing tomorrow night and are probably less optimistic about the future.
I am glad Marble said they felt like they let him down, they should feel that way. Tuesday night the team needs to step up and match Gatens' intensity from start to finish. The team choked on senior day and have a chance at redemption tomorrow night. Time to develop a winner's mentality at Iowa and it starts tomorrow night.
