According to the "Iowa Notes" at outbackbowl.com, Iowa has 4 national championships. Not sure how Iowa's Sports Information Director conjured that one up.

This is an amusing footnote, but speaking of National Championships, the NCAA recognizes both Iowa and LSU as the National Champions for 1958.

Of course, Iowa was the true champion for 1958, since Iowa was the only one that wasn't run by racist bastards that were scared of playing teams with black players.
