The Boss: 2013 Prediction

If there was a theme to this season, it would be Born to Run. Inexperienced QB, inexperienced WR, but a solid OL and a trio of returning RB's make this a back to the basics season. The D won't take it to the Promised Land, but should be better than last year as well.

Will there be Darkness on the Edge of Town for the 2013 Hawkeyes, or do we have a Reason to Believe.

1. I think the QB race becomes a two horse race within a couple weeks between Ruddock and Sokol. My hunch is that we play both, but if we don't, I believe Sokol will be our signal caller if for no other reason than his ability to improvise when things collapse.

Northern Illinois:

Last year we should have lost. This year, we probably should too. But they replace a lot of their D, and the ball control offense with Mossad punishing should help the Hawks cause. The only thing more comical than the idea that the Hawks could legitimately lose to Northern ******* Illinois at home, is that they think their QB is a Heisman trophy candidate. But you know that the dual threat is our defense achilles heel. The game is going to give people a lot of indigestion and for good reason. Hawks 20 NIU: 17

Missouri State:

If we lose this game, I'm firing Max. Hawks 31, Whatever they're called 13

Iowa State

I just can't see us winning in Ames. The inexperience in the passing game comes through as we play catch up from behind. Early turnovers hurt. ISU 27 Hawks 17

Western Michigan

The Hawks and directional Michigan schools have a great tradition. The Hawks close out the non conf with yet another loss to Iowa State, but at least we're 3-1. Hawks 28, WMU 20

Minnesota **** on Your Shoe!

Our second road game of the year, also a trophy game. Just don't see it. Minnesota pisses on our shoe, and ***** on it to. Sota 28 Hawks 24

Michigan State

It's the trendy pick here to think the Hawks get back on the winning trend. I like being trendy. KF gets the team up to fight the fighting Dantonio's. At one point Dantonio fakes an injury on the sideline. Hawks 31 MSU 17

Ohio State

Oy Vey Ohio State 48, Iowa 13

Northwestern

The hex of NW continues as Fitz and OK4P break our spirit. This one ain't gonna be close folks. JNU: 41, Hawks 17

Wisconsin

Man are they lucky. Are they really that good? I think the game being in Kinnick is a big deal, but will Kinnick be rocking to greet a 4-4 team that has lost it's last two games by a combined score of 89-30? This is Wisconsin, and it is a big game, and we pull out a win. Iowa 27, Wisconsin 24.

Undue Perversity:

Ross Aide has the personality and intimidation of a donut. There isn't a game I look forward to less than watching a game at Purdue. I can just hear Pam Ward and a small crowd trying to sound loud. I think we win this game. Iowa 17, Jerks from Western Lafayette 10

Michigan

****. We are now 6-4, with it being senior day. We've seen some light at the end of the tunnel, but still some frustrating losses. Do we reach down and grab every last bit of heart to beat talent? Is there any amount of heart that can overcome the talent defecit? I think there is, but I don't think the ball bounces are way. We play close for 50 minutes, but an ill timed turnover creates two quick scores. Michigan 38, Iowa 24.

Nebraska

Will we ever beat these ********? Sure. But not this year. Not in Lincoln. Nebraska 31, Iowa 21.

We finish the year 6-6 and accept an invitation to Detroit. But it's a bowl game and our coach reminds us that we should be happy about it. We are not. But I do think that this is the season where we see some improvement.

Look folks, KF didn't forget how to coach. The same things that have made us successful in the past still exist. What we don't have is depth, and when we have an injury, we typically replace a legit B1G football player with someone we stole from Illinois State.

And I quote the end of this years theme song Born to Run: "Someday, I don't know when, we're gonna get to that place, where we want to go, and we'll walk in the sun, but till then tramps like us, baby we were born to run."

Too many games predicted as losses and too many games with Pam Ward. I would take the wins however even trying to listen to the radio calls 5 seconds before I see them if that is the case.

When you suck like we suck and are gonna suck, you get Pam Ward'd.
