Lots of people on this board keep talking about how good they are. They are not good. Their defense is as bad as ISU's. EWU barely lost to them in OT after dropping 44 on them in regulation. Don't forget they lost to powerhouses South Dakota and Montana last year. This game should be another rout for the Hawks and shouldn't be on the schedule.

With the BIG making it illegal to schedule feces teams like this wonderful 5 time national feces champion I guess we better be honored that we get to play them.

I agree Iowa should win by 17 points at least. But speaking of scheduling this game.... what was the point in doing that. It's like ISU 2.0...... if Iowa wins, its the "duh you were supposed to win" if they lose, its the "whats wrong with Iowa".. if you arent going to schedule tough non conf games (which Im fine with) at least schedule easier ones...

Can you guess which team plays Chattanooga, Western Kentucky and Kent State this season???

Bama also played/plays USC, LSU and a bunch of SEC teams who are ostensibly good. Maybe some of those teams aren't going to turn out being that great but it appeared they would be before the season started.

In other words, "implied" SOS. Ostensibly, the playoff "committee" sorts this out.

If Iowa runs the table, we will be in the play-offs having beaten Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Penn State and probably Ohio State. Now we just have to run the table again and win the B1G championship. ;)

And they're waaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than anyone in our non-con

ummm.....didn't say they were for non-con games, but we play Wisconsin who beat LSU and LSU struggled against a FCS team after that. So LSU is not better than teams we play in conference. Is Ole Miss that good? Is Miss State that good? No. So where is the tough games week after week these teams supposedly play?

I'm guessing Iowa has a chance for the playoff if they win the Big Ten championship game and have no more than one loss after that game.....

The SEC knows how to schedule cupcakes. It's smart football. The people on this board who think Iowa needs to play "national" teams out of conference just don't get it....it's about losses, not who you played, in the Power 5 conferences

In that case you just called out everyone who wants Iowa State gone so we can upgrade the schedule.

Iowa has benefited from their opponents shooting themselves in the foot. Some part of Iowa's wins are attributed to the other teams' stupid mistakes. I don't think NDSU will make stupid mistakes. For that reason, we may not see such a route.

From what I hear they are having trouble with punting. That sounds interesting if true :)

NDSU has actually played a pretty tough schedule for them. Charleston Southern was ranked #6(now #12) and EWU was ranked #8(now #7). They won both of those games in OT. UNI is ranked #11. These guys are going to be better than we think. Better than ISU? My guess is yes but I still think that we see Stanley and the other 2nd and 3rd teamers in the 4th quarter.

There was a tweet out there somewhere that said NDSU and ISU need to trade places and that would instantly upgrade the little 12. I believe that. :)
