The timing of it totally screwed Iowa:

Most get that kids will change their minds a hundred times during this process. It’s the biggest decision they will have made in their lives. What is total BS is the timing of it.

So he commits to Iowa in June. Had maybe a dozen visits to Iowa. 1/2 dozen to Iowa football games. All quiet on the home front so no news is good news. 2 weeks before signing day he takes a super secret visit to Oregon. No mention of the visit to the coaches he had already gave a verbal to. Hey free trip to Oregon can’t blame him. Reports are saying he confirmed his commitment to Iowa to several Iowa coaches. Ok cool, all is good. Iowa just landed Cade and looks to be bringing his stud TE with him to Iowa. All is good. 3 days from signing day he takes an unofficial trip to Alabama. Now the Hawkeye faithful are restless as hell. David Eickholt and Sean Bock both switch their crystal ball to 90% Proctor flips to Alabama. Yep we are screwed. I believe today he officially decomitted from Iowa on the 247 website. David Eickholt reports that Proctor told him the main reason he decomitted from Iowa was because of their 130th rated offense. Many folks have said he texted Kirk last night and said he was decommiting.

This is what is so Fu?!:d up about this whole thing. (Being mindful that there are prob 3 dozen other scenarios that have happened as well.)

Commits in June, goes through an entire season without a hint of how he was so distraught with Iowa and their bad offense. The day before signing day he decommits and allegedly tells a writer who covers the Hawks the main reason he decomitted was Iowa 130rd rated offense.Bullshit son. The only reason you decomitted was the all mighty dollar. Period. Heck who could turn down
$3-$10 million he will be getting from Alabama. (This is alleged of course but has surfaced on many sights)

My thoughts on this situation:
1.) We all know ya left was because of some serious cash! Nick Saban, the biggest POS hypocrite, who had bashed the Texas A&M coaches for buying their entire team. Gave you and i’m sure many more top recruits blank checks to play for him. No way he is going to miss the playoffs next year.

2.)waiting until the day before signing day to decommit and leading the Iowa staff that all is good is plain chickenshit. This totally screwed Iowa in trying to recruit another big time OL recruit to replace you( i know they were in on a 4 star OL early on but stopped recruiting him due to Proctor commitment.

3.) After you committed i believe Keith Murphy interviewed you. He asked about the money that has been offered from other schools. $250 was one of the amounts. You tell him it’s not about the money as that will be there in the future. Well, we all know that was BS.

4.) This is alleged: You don’t show up in person, you don’t call. You texted Coach 2 days before you are to sign your NLI with Iowa that you are no longer going to commit to Iowa. Like i said this is alleged but if true… No words. None at all if true.

—best of luck to him wherever he goes. Really wanted it to be Iowa but just wasn’t meant to be.

— this is the “new norm” the future of college athletics. Strap in boys and girls this is going to be one FUC&$D up ride..
