The Big Ten in Review: Iowa (From SB Maize N Blue)

I'd think of it as less of a joke if the article didn't indicate that;

"The Hawkeyes new era debut was a nerve-wracking close win against the Northern Illinois Huskies, 18-17. (Northern Illinois would go on to have an 11-1 season and play in the Orange Bowl, where they were soundly defeated by Florida.)

Great way to establish credibility and football knowledge.

Any article that doesn't mention the injuries in the offensive line after the MSU game, is woefully researched and certainly less credible. While the RB injuries were important, they pale in comparison to losing Scherff and Donnal. Those injuries set the season up for complete failure in the last six games. Without your top tier running backs, you can still be effective running the ball, and possibly throw the ball more often. Without a seasoned oline with everyone playing in the right position, you can do neither effectively as was the case with Iowa in the last six games.

I am sick of people pointing out that Iowa did bad last year. Hawkeyebob and I are very upset.

Why would you be sick of it? We sucked last year, although, shockingly enough, we actually WRE close in some of our losses. The way it felt last year, we suffered 8 bit*h-slap blowouts.

But as one post suggested, nothing really insightful in the article.
