The big house...

Michigan should beat Iowa but Harbaugh has a habit of trying to play old school football against us. If they stick with the spread an throw it a lot we are in trouble. We haven’t played anybody yet so this will be a good test.

Shea Patterson really scare you? He doesn’t me. Iowa could lose a close, low scoring game, but that Michigan offense isn’t great no matter what they are running.

I’ve watched a few Michigan games and it’s the same old story. Fast wide receivers questionable QB play, athletic defenders. Iowa has the big offensive line, solid defense, but this time skill players that might match Michigans. I like our chances.

TL;DR: Michigan’s offense fucking sucks.

Yes it has been but Iowa's injuries in the back 7 could finally come back to haunt them the next 2 games. Michigan does have talent at WR and their 3 or 4 WR sets against Iowa's LBs or CBs way down the depth chart is concerning. Iowa has played very soft coverage the last 2 games. They're going to probably give a lot of passing yards through the air next week. The question is, will Michigan get impatient and turn the ball over?

Agree I hope Patterson is their QB. We have had success against his QB type, ie. run first pass second guys.

Our skill players do not match Michigan's. Their receivers are much more athletic than ours all across the board, so are their rbs except for Goodson. We struggle mightily with the type of offense they now run, and Stanley won't have all day in the pocket, as they will stack the box, stop the run, pressure him, and make our receivers beat them .

I’m not sold on our ability to stop them no.

Patterson isn't a run first qb either. McCaffrey and Milton are more dual threat qbs than Patterson is. I don't like our defensive backfield against their receivers, or especially our linebackers trying to cover them in space. They are too athletic.

You are correct in that they have better skill position players. I think the difference this year is, for the first time in a long time, if they stack the box to stop the run we have the threat of throwing the ball down the field. We haven't been able to say that for along time.

Will it be good Stanley or bad Stanley? If it is Stanley circa the 2018 Penn St game... we lose.

Looks like we could be stronger in the trenches, so we’ve got that going for us ... which is nice.

Our LB’s need to have a breakout game.

Have you seen Michigan’s D line?

Michigan is looking very tough. Can our D live up to the hype and stop this high powered offense?
They look tough because they played the equivalent of middle Tennessee st today and in reading our boards, after beating midd tenn st, stanley will be a #1 draft pick, Brian ferentz will surpass kirk’s longevity as coach, we are well on our way to a national title this year

So they ran the score up on the chivalrous.
