Have any of you run this in the past? Am thinking about trying it, takes place August 11th which means it will be hot and humid.

They also have a 5K which would be much less strenuous in humid weather conditions. And I think it starts around 8:00am. They start in three chutes, so the elite runners go out first, people who run 5-10k's regularly go out second (you have to prove from a previous 5K race that you can break 31 minutes to go out in that group, I believe) and the rest go out third.
Looks like a first class event. You know downtown Chicago will be flat, there's a nice food/beverage/entertainment setup after the races, and it's a great opportunity to meet alumni from other conference schools. It's encouraged, but not required, to wear school swag when running.
