The back breaker

With tons of momentum going into halftime I feel like MSU's opening drive of the second half just deflated the entire stadium. After that TD it seemed--at least from my couch--that the crowd was gone and the team had no fire, just going through the motions.

It's gonna be sad to watch how badly other teams shred this secondary.

That first drive (because it was so easy) reestablished that MSU was the dominate team on the field.

To me, the real back breaker was after we get the interception on their 35, we go 3 and out.. missing the FG

A huge X factor against us.....can't remember an Iowa team getting burnt so bad in the secondary and a secondary this bad under Ferentz in some time. Use to be bend but don't break. Now, the fing dam fails.

These two possessions really defined the game. Could not have gone worse for Iowa.

That's cause we have Phil Parker and not Norm Parker. Better to not blitz so much and make 'em walk down the field 3-5 yards at a time waiting for the mistake, than giving up 10+ yards on every 3rd down followed by a home run ball for 40.

This.

No pash rush whatsoever, if u re-watch the game it'll make u sick how he stood in the pocket and made those throws. Agree with hwks1 after the pick, 3 and out and missed FG..... He fat lady was singing.

Not a back breaker, but didn't have a good feeling after MSU took the 2nd half opening drive for a TD.

The run game was never there. I thought Davis did a good job abandoning this, at the right time.
Our receivers are just not that good.
